The President’s Gold Scholarship is a merit-based entrance scholarship awarded to students with an entrance average of 95% or higher. This scholarship is also renewable in your upper years, if you meet the renewal requirements.

The Inspiring Lives Scholarship is a prestigious entrance scholarship available exclusively to international students beginning their undergraduate studies at Laurier. The scholarship is awarded annually to students who inspire lives of leadership and purpose in their communities and through their extracurricular activities.
The scholarship is valued at $500 to $5,000 CAD and can be stacked with entrance scholarships and other competitive scholarships and awards. Learn more about applying for competitive scholarships.
Eligibility
The prestigious Laurier Scholars Award offers high-achieving students the opportunity to participate in a dynamic learning environment that will foster innovative thinking and ethical, visionary leadership.
Since 2021, Laurier continues to welcome seven scholars annually, each of whom will receive a $40,000 scholarship over a four-year period. Award recipients join a community of scholars from across the disciplines and receive mentorship, networking, research and experiential learning opportunities throughout their degree. Laurier’s commitment to academic excellence and community engagement, including social innovation and sustainability efforts, provides Laurier Scholars with a strong foundation to create new ideas and make meaningful change.
Laurier Scholars are required to meet all conditions to receive and renew their scholarship on an annual basis over a four-year period.

Any student who wishes to study in Canada requires a student visa. Some of the essential information for the application process is given below.
Ideally, one should apply for the study permit at least 4 to 6 months before the commencement of your course/program.
There is no need for a blocked bank account to apply for a student visa to Canada.
The student visa is valid for the entire period of your course plus three months.

The Post- Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) allows you to work for three years in Canada if you have completed a two years degree or more.
You can either apply online or download the form and mail the application along with the required documents. Pay your fee and then wait for the decision to come.
To apply for the work visa, you need a degree from a recognized and accredited Canadian University along with an intention to stay and work in Canada only temporarily.
One can apply for the full-time work permit in the first three months post the completion of their course during which the study permit is still valid.
You will have to wait for 90 days for the decision on your work permit.
The work permit is valid for 3 years if you have completed a two years degree program or more.
The fee for the work permit is CAD 255 plus the holder fee and the work permit processing fee.
An applicant is guaranteed a minimum salary of CAD 1,600 per month while working in Canada. This amount though varies on the job and the province you are working in.
