Associate in Cinema, Film and Media Studies Pre-Major

Program Overview

Prepare for a major in Cinema, Film & Media Studies by taking recommended courses to fulfill the requirements of a transfer degree.

Cinema and Media Studies explores the history, theory and impact of film and mass media around the world. From silent and black and white films to color, animation and digital imagery, students examine the role of media within historical, social and cultural contexts. Students have an opportunity to learn film and media production including screenwriting, journalism, directing, cinematography, photography, lighting and editing.

The Associate in Arts - Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA) is part of Shoreline’s General Transfer program and is designed to meet the first two years of requirements of most four-year degrees.
