Program Overview
Through a unique partnership between Great Plains College and Saskatchewan Polytechnic, the two-year Business Diploma in Accountancy is offered full-time in Swift Current through a blended format of face-to-face and on-line classes.
The ?rst year of studies provides a well-rounded introduction to core business competencies in accounting, ?nance, management, marketing, human resources and much more. All classes in the ?rst year are offered in a face-to-face format.
The second year of studies is focused on accountancy, including costs accounting, auditing, taxation and ?nance. Through real-life examples and the use of case studies, students will learn how to conduct audits, perform business analyses and present ?nancial information in an expert and professional manner. The combination of face-to-face and online classes in the second year allows for a more ?exible learning schedule.
