Program Overview
Want to establish a conceptual understanding of project governance and settings, including the relationship of the project, programme or portfolio within host organisations? Think you can embrace inquisitive thinking, professional reflexivity and multiculturalism in real and virtual project environments? This course will give you project management skills that are widely transferable and applicable to a range of industries.
Project Management MSc covers topics such as how to assess project feasibility, how to manage risks in projects, how to keep people working together, and how to develop a portfolio of projects. There's no need to have completed previous studies in project management and we welcome applicants from a variety of academic backgrounds.
This programme has successfully attained academic accreditation by the UK branch of the International Project Management Association (IPMA), and the Association for Project Management (APM). The IMPA, through its academic accreditation process, assesses programmes and modules to help students and professionals choose the best education available in support of their project management careers. Our academic accreditation identifies that the MSc Project Management programme at Northumbria University is aligned to the APM Body of Knowledge, 6th edition.
