Program Overview

Tourism Studies

Home of the Canterbury Tales and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Canterbury is an ideal location for Tourism Studies.

You’ll gain specialist knowledge from experienced staff who are passionate about their teaching, and discover themes including dark tourism, film tourism and sustainability. Lectures and seminars are supported by a wealth of industry speakers and site visits. You will also have the chance to go on field trips abroad in years one and two, the costs of which are already included in your fees.

You will be offered work experience/internships and can take advantage of our exciting Tourism and Events Research Hub, which has a reputation for winning successful research grants.

Extra opportunities: You can apply for overseas study opportunities, including a year in North America or Canada (for example at the University of Western Florida). You will also have the opportunity to study a modern language.

Logistics Management

Logistics is a vital part of the economy and is becoming increasingly important in the global marketplace.

Our Logistics Management course gives you the opportunity to balance academic management learning with practical insights into this fast-moving and very dynamic industry.

Designed to give you an oversight of the management of logistics operations across all areas of the industry, this course takes a twofold approach. On one hand it covers the practical and more operational elements of logistics, including different transport modes, intermodal operations, and warehousing and inventory operations, while on the other it looks at the broader strategic management aspects of logistics areas such as international logistics, outsourcing operations and benchmarking.
