As a qualified Speech and language therapist you may be involved with the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders across the lifespan and/or eating and drinking difficulties. You will work with paediatric and adult clients, parents, carers, professionals, and support workers in a range of different environments.

On the course, you will explore areas including psychology, linguistics and phonetics, anatomy, physiology and speech and language therapy practice frameworks. You will also consider the biopsychosocial and cultural needs of the client.

It will prepare you to meet the academic and clinical standards required for registration as a speech and language therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and for membership, as a newly qualified practitioner (NQP) with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.

This course is run in collaboration with University of Greenwich. You will register with both universities but will have one main university of registration, the final degree will be awarded by your main university.
