Explore the world of criminology and deviant behaviour in the study of Applied Criminology at Canterbury Christ Church University. Grasp the workings of the criminal mind and learn to critically analyse through a multi-disciplinary lens.
With a criminology degree, you’ll engage with a range of contexts, including social, historical, and political, to really understand the depth of deviance and crime.
Studying criminology at university will give you the opportunity to cast a critical eye over the process of criminalisation and crime control. You will also research various topics including the nature of crime, social and psychological theories of crime causation, and the workings of the criminal justice system.
What’s more, you’ll be able to tailor your degree to what you enjoy: from terrorism, political violence, and cybercrime to youth crime, gangs, and mental health, you can delve into areas of criminology that interest you the most.
