Electronic engineers are responsible for the design, implementation and operation of electronic circuits, devices and systems in a wide variety of fields. This integrated Masters degree will equip you with advanced subject knowledge, tools and techniques to produce solutions for real-world applications across a wide range of fast-growing industrial sectors. It prepares you for a career in the broad areas of state-of-the-art embedded systems, circuit design and control systems, modern computer systems and architectures, computer-aided engineering, applied industrial engineering and evolving sensing technologies. You will exploit advances in computing technologies and develop the professional responsibilities needed to operate with confidence in the challenging and rapidly changing world of electronic engineering, while also gaining specialist knowledge in data analytics, complex systems and security. You will graduate as a skilled professional with expertise aligned with the needs of organisations from a range of sectors, able to actively participate in, and manage, the executive design, development and maintenance of electronic engineering systems.

Careers
MEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering graduates possess the advanced skills to enter a career in engineering or computing with a broad choice of career paths, thereby enhancing their employability.
You will have the necessary expertise to work as an electronic engineer, telecommunications engineer, systems engineer, software engineer, control engineer or network engineer, with career opportunities in areas such as the automotive industry, mobile communications, aerospace, finance and control, process and petrochemical, biomedical, manufacturing or energy sectors.
Our dedicated Employability team, who work closely with the University’s Careers Centre, support students to find highly skilled employment. You will also benefit from timetabled employability sessions, ongoing support during internships and placements, and presentations and workshops delivered by employers.
There are various options through which a student can get a post study work visa in the UK.
Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa for the graduates with a genuine and credible business idea.
Tier 2 (General) is the leading immigration visa to work in the UK.
Tier 4 Doctorate Extension Scheme is for students who have completed their Ph.D. and is valid for 12 months for them to work, look for work or set up a business.
Tier 5 Youth Mobility is for individuals of certain countries like Australia, Canada, Japan, Monaco, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, and New Zealand aged between 18 -30 who wish to move to the UK.
