Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing

Program Overview

As a specialist mental health nurse, the one-to-one relationships you build with those in need are vital to their care and to helping them overcome challenges.

With this hands-on degree, you'll learn to work and communicate with patients, families and carers – often in challenging situations – and you’ll develop the skills and experience needed to take your next steps as a healthcare professional.

The course is divided equally between classroom-based learning in our £28 million Health Campus and spending time on mentored clinical placements.

This blended approach gives you the best opportunity to develop your skills, professional insight and experience, with a focus on service user, carer and practitioner involvement.

On graduation, you'll be able to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a qualified registered nurse.
