Master of Business Administration (Supply Chain Management)

Program Overview

This specialised MBA offers a Supply Chain Management pathway through the existing contemporary and practical MBA. The way a supply chain functions in its environment is critical to organisation’s strategic objectives.

To sustain and improve their competitive position, modern organisations work together with upstream and downstream members in the value chain to provide products and/or services that satisfy their customers' preferences and needs. The aim of this pathway is to develop an in-depth understanding of how supply chain processes and functions are interrelated with business strategy.

Our course is flexible and accessible. Full-time students attend during the day while part-time students attend during the evenings so you can tailor your attendance around your availability.

Everything in our MBA is geared towards your career development, ensuring you graduate with a clearer vision of your future; it's accredited by the Chartered Management Institute, so you can be sure you're learning the leadership skills that employers really need, and our expert staff have the depth of knowledge to turn your passion and ambition into a realisable goal.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Develop a critical understanding of major supply chain principles and concepts. Recognise the importance of supply chain relationships and reflect on the role of process integration in supply chain performance and competitiveness. Learn about contemporary key principles, practices, systems and techniques used in supply chain management.

Develop critical thinking skills to assess the impact of supply chain strategies in terms of business trade-offs, corporate social responsibility and organisational values, cost, efficiency and effectiveness as well as leadership approaches and business ethics.

Subject-based practical skills will teach you how to implement appropriate strategies and solve complex problems using appropriate decision-making. Apply a variety of tools and techniques for supply chain optimisation and develop appropriate supply chain strategies for products/services according to their characteristics.

The programme will also offer you an optional placement year, enabling you to experience supply chain management in the real world and effectively connect your university experience with it.
