Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Psychology and Sociology

Program Overview

On our Psychology and Sociology degree you will engage with psychological theory and research, exploring how this knowledge is applied to real-world personal and social issues.

The course enables you to explore the personal and social nature of human experience from different perspectives.

You’ll benefit from learning with research-active lecturers and hearing from inspiring guest speakers, with an opportunity to take an optional placement in a community organisation. Our Psychology Research Laboratories are resourced to support a diverse range of experimental and qualitative research.

The degree follows the recommended curriculum of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and confers eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC), which is the first step toward becoming a professional psychologist.
