The History Major at Lasell has a professional focus, rooted in Connected Learning, that seeks to educate students by promoting self-expression, academic exploration and critical thinking in academic, civic, and career-relevant areas.
The History degree program provides students with an overview as well as an in-depth study of history, examining all aspects of the human experience. The study of history is informed by the social sciences and by developments in the arts and in literature.
The History major is intentionally interdisciplinary, especially with the Education major, to allow students to follow their passions while still receiving a solid foundation rooted in the Humanities.
