Forensic psychology, often referred to as criminal psychology, is the application of psychology to the legal and criminal justice systems. Our course gives you: a solid foundation in mainstream psychology, specialised knowledge in forensic psychology theory, research, and practice. critical thinking skills; and the chance to learn how to apply evidence in professional practice and research.

Our degree and teaching will give you the skills and experience in data management, data analysis, report writing, and critical and creative thinking. The forensic psychology programme will provide additional skills required for you to progress in this area. Many of our graduates are involved in research or practice in secure settings, forensic mental health services, victim support and various services that address the needs of populations involved within the criminal justice system such as substance use, sexual offending, domestic violence and knife crime.
There are various options through which a student can get a post study work visa in the UK.
Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa for the graduates with a genuine and credible business idea.
Tier 2 (General) is the leading immigration visa to work in the UK.
Tier 4 Doctorate Extension Scheme is for students who have completed their Ph.D. and is valid for 12 months for them to work, look for work or set up a business.
