Program Overview
Political Science is an ever evolving discipline that deals with the growing changes in the political dynamic of the world. Columbia College has a rigorous and highly acclaimed two yearlong Associate of Arts degree in Political Science program that provides undergraduate students an opportunity to study the discipline with guidance from professionals in the same field. This course aims at providing students an enhanced insight about areas like law, government, environment, human rights, social justice issues, economic and community development, international issues, and social media.
The political science program at Columbia College educates students about Canadian and International Law, social justice, public policy, public administration, local, national and provincial politics. The said course helps students develop multiple skills such as oral and written communication, research & analysis, cultural sensitivity as well as social awareness. Through this course students are required to develop analytical skills as well as a critical thinking outlook to work for the betterment of their community and the society in the broader sense.
