Program Overview

Nursing degree program prepares students for a career in professional nursing through an eight-semester plan of study.

Nursing is a practice-oriented major, so clinical courses at healthcare agencies will be an integral part of the program. The bachelor of science is the preferred educational degree for nursing, providing nurses with a wide range of opportunities in the field.

Niagara prepares the next generation of caring, compassionate, and dedicated nurses for positions of responsibility in all areas of the healthcare industry. This comprehensive program of study enables students to assume leadership roles for providing quality healthcare, integrating evidence and ethics for sound decision making, collaborating for the advocacy of patients, families, and communities, and to engage in lifelong learning to maintain practice excellence in healthcare.

Upon successful completion of the program the student will be eligible to sit for the NCLEX – Registered Nurse licensing examination.
