Colorado State University’s Master of Finance is a highly quantitative 30-credit program offered on campus that provides a comprehensive study of the principles, processes, and practices of investment analysis, portfolio management, corporate finance and financial risk management.
Candidates will receive hands-on experience closely aligned with professional practice, individual attention from faculty, and interaction with other motivated and engaged students. And you can be confident that your knowledge will translate into real world skills. Our students continually have high pass rates on the Chartered Finance Analyst (CFA®) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) exams or choose to pursue Ph.D. programs.

Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
