Program Overview

Logistics and Supply Chain Management is a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate (completed in two levels) designed for university and college graduates seeking a career in the supply chain sector.

The curriculum will focus on applied knowledge in the field of supply chain management within a global economy, encompassing the planning and management of all activities involved in procurement and all logistics management activities.  

Graduates of the program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management will be eligible to pursue a number of credentials within the supply chain management field.

Learning Outcomes
The graduate has reliably demonstrated the ability to:

  • Apply knowledge of the functional components within logistics to the interrelationships in the integrated supply chain.
  • Employ a working knowledge of best practices in supply chain management.
  • Apply the basics of purchasing and supplier management to current best practices.
  • Apply knowledge of forecasting and inventory management theories and methodologies.
  • Use logistics technology tools and resources, in order to comply with the requirements of logistics/supply chain management.
  • Utilize information technology systems proficiently to support logistics management decisions.
  • Evaluate and select warehousing and transportation options and recommend appropriate solutions for business requirements.
  • Apply the basics of financial management including cost and managerial accounting.
  • Participate effectively in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects.
  • Conduct business in compliance with relevant national and international law, legislation, regulations, safety requirements, and professional standards.
  • Conduct business in the international marketplace.
  • Apply understanding of human resources management and organizational behaviour to establish and maintain effective teamwork relationships.
