Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Global Leadership in Sustainable Tourism

Program Overview

Tourism is one of B.C.'s most important and valuable industries, creating thousands of jobs and adding nearly $10 billion to the province's economy. As global challenges - especially relating to climate change - intensify, there is growing demand for future leaders who understand the value in developing and managing tourism responsibly.
This two-year program is condensed into 16 months and is designed for people with bachelor's degrees who are interested in becoming agents of positive change by advocating for sustainable tourism practices.Completing the program also qualifies you for a three-year Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP).
In class, you'll develop the skills to lead hospitality and tourism initiatives, balancing economic growth, cultural integrity and environmental sustainability. You'll take courses in tourism and climate change, environmental stewardship, and food sovereignty with additional training in policy advocacy, community engagement and ethical business management.
